About the Authors

Amy (Kurtz) Antes has always been involved with increasing the success of others.  Since beginning her career in occupational therapy, she has felt the need to bridge the gap between areas of expertise in the profession.  This book was designed to assist occupational therapists who may be novices, making a career change within the profession, or to educate across areas of expertise in order to understand the needs of those with spinal cord injuries.

A graduate of Rockhurst University in Missouri, she has a Masters in Occupational Therapy and has a practice in Chicago, Illinois.

At times, we are all “In need of remembering what life is all about” (M.A.).

Mikayla Humm has practiced in the area of spinal cord injury for several years.  She has utilized her expertise in developing the occupational therapy department at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Nebraska.
