Specialty certifications:

• THERAPEUTIC LISTENING® Certification requires initial coursework. In addition, advanced training occurs in the form of an intensive one-week practicum in Wisconsin.
• INTERACTIVE METRONOME™ Certification requires intensive training and submitting protocols to the Interactive Metronome organization.
• Handwriting Without Tears® Certification
• SIPT – Sensory Integration and Praxis Test Certified: This test assesses the child’s ability to utilize certain aspects of the sensory system to complete daily functions.
• Board Certification in Pediatric Occupational Therapy requires a comprehensive, national exam. In order to sit for the exam, the therapist must have a minimum of five years pediatric experience and meet several specific criteria (i.e., teaching experience, advanced certifications in specific practice areas).
